MEET OUR TEAM
Space Ninja was created by Carly Watkins, built from 20+ years working across website design, business operations, education technology, recruitment, and digital systems.
​
My career has always sat behind the same challenge: how do you make businesses actually work better? Not just look better. From building and managing websites, to fixing broken processes, to untangling messy workflows, I’ve spent two decades turning complexity into structure and ideas into something usable.
​
I’ve worked across project delivery in the oil and gas sector, operational roles in education and tech, and specialist recruitment in the global games industry. Different environments, same pattern; fast-moving teams, scattered systems, and the need for clarity, control, and better execution.
​
Alongside that, I’ve spent years building and supporting websites and digital platforms, not just from a design point of view, but from the operational side that makes them sustainable processes, workflows, training, and the invisible structure that keeps everything running properly.
​
More recently, through Natural Selection, I’ve worked in executive search within the games industry, helping studios identify senior talent through research, insight, and market mapping. Before that, at Arbor Education, I worked deep in operations and systems; coordinating teams, improving processes, and keeping large-scale education platforms running smoothly.

What connects all of this is simple: I fix how things work. I spot friction, remove noise, and build systems that make businesses easier to run. I’m comfortable moving between strategy and execution, especially in environments where things need to be built, improved, or pulled into shape.

Space Ninja is built directly from that experience. It exists to give businesses access to the kind of operational thinking, digital capability, and structured delivery typically found in larger organisations. Without the overhead of building it internally.

For clients, that means websites that are properly considered within the wider business, processes that reduce friction rather than add complexity, and practical support that improves how things actually run day to day.

I specialise in macro and wildlife photography, combining technical precision with a strong visual eye. I also have extensive experience with Blender 3D, digital image manipulation using GIMP, and 3D printing troubleshooting and workflow support.
My broader technical understanding includes TypeScript, Apps Script, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Python — allowing me to bridge the gap between creativity, automation, and modern digital solutions.
